Tracadie Lions Club will host their annual QEH Pancake Brunch at Tracadie Community Centre on Sunday, May 5th from 10 a.m. to noon. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children and pre-schoolers are free. Proceeds will be donated to the QEH/Eastlink Telethon, to help purchase priority medical equipment for the QEH. Local volunteers with the MS Society of Canada will be selling carnations at various local stores on Mothers Day weekend from Thursday May 9 to Saturday May 12. This is a major fundraiser for the society, which assists patients such as the 1,000 Islanders who currently have the disease
