Clyde River Community Centre, Rte. 247. Chris Robinson, PEI Director, Canadian Lyme Disease Foundation (CnaLyme.org) will be presenting an information session on Tick/Lyme Disease. What we need to know in relation to the tiny vampires in the long grass and the importance of recognizing ticks, preventive measures and health issues related to TICK bites.

Central Queens United Church, Hunter River, is holding their annual Spring Roast Beef Dinner on Sat., June 8th. Two seatings: 4:30 and 6:00 p.m. Take-outs available to be picked up at 3:00 p.m. Dine on a delicious hot roast beef dinner with all the trimmings and strawberry shortcake for dessert! The Summerside Lions will be hosting their annual Yard Sale on Saturday June 8th at the Wilmot Community Centre 110 Gillesoie Ave Summerside from 8am till noon. This is an indoor event so will go ahead rain or shine. Proceeds from the event go towards helping out the local community

Kensington Knights of Columbus are having their annual yard sale at 30 Pleasant St in Kensington (the parish hall behind Holy Family Church) starting by 8am on Saturday, June 8th! Come check out some great finds, with all proceeds being split between the Special Olympics and being used to fund our annual scholarship to a local student going off to post secondary. It'll be on, rain or shine! If it's raining, we will move the sale inside the parish centre

The West Point Volunteer Fire Departments 18th Annual Show n Shine Car Show takes place Sunday, June 9th at the West Point Harbourside Center. The show runs from 12 - 4 pm with registration beginning at 10 am. Cars, trucks, motorcycles, snowmobiles, antique tractors, and transport trucks.
