INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST HOMOPHOBIA
The International Day Against Homophobia (or IDAHO, as it is sometimes known) is celebrated around the world on May 17. This annual day to mark the fight to make our society inclusive of all sexualities was founded in Montreal in 2003 by the human rights group Fondation Émergence. Summer Series Ceilidh at Winsloe Lions Hall
Summer Series Ceilidh continues at Winsloe Lions Hall, Wednesday June 9 starting at 7:00 pm with doors opening at 6:00 pm. Joining the Ceilidh in the City group will be “The Girls No Treble, a group consisting of Maxine MacLennan, Sheila MacKenzie and Jolee Patkai. These girls sing great harmony. There will be canteen service and a 50/50 draw, admission is at the door. The Hall is wheelchair accessible and Covid restrictions apply.
