DESCRIPTION:Amazing Art:\nthe hooked cushions of Barachois\nA stunning exhibition of 242cushions covered in hooked-rug artistry is coming to PEI. These cushions have been contributed by artisans from all over North America\, even the UK and the United Arab Emirates. They are a project to celebrate the upcoming 200th anniversary of the church in Grand-Barachois\, New Brunswick\, and the display is a feature of the 2019 World Acadian Congress being held in NB and PEI.\nThe show is sponsored by PEI’s Island Matters rug-hooking group. It’s a kaleidoscope of creative colour.\nSee these cushions on the pews of the Kirk of St. James\, on Pownal Street in Charlottetown — Tuesday to Saturday\, September 10th to 14th\, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm (till 7:00 pm on Friday).\nAdmission is just $5 at-the-door. \n
