SUMMARY:Summerside Christmas Concert
DESCRIPTION:Summerside Community Choir presents “I’ll be Home for Christmas” on Sunday Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. at Trinity United Church in Summerside. \nThis season the choir sings the iconic title song\, as well as a beautiful rendition of “Silent Night.” The children’s favorite\, “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” will be featured\, as well as a cheeky and fun version of “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.” \n“Home also means reaching out to those in need\, welcoming strangers and creating community” says Dr. Margot Rejskind\, director of the choir. The carol “I Will Light Candles this Christmas” poignantly points out\, “when the song of the angels is stilled…that is when the work of Christmas begins.” \nWe are so pleased to welcome U.P.E.I. student Henry Orford on trumpet as our guest musician\, and of course our pianist Tanya Bernard\, an integral part of the choir who joins us again this year. \nTickets are $15.00 for adults\, and $10.00 for students at the door\, which opens at 6:30p.m. Please join us at our home\, Trinity United in Summerside\, where we practice each week\, as we take you home for Christmas. \n
