Virginia O’Brien to perform at Trinity United Concert Series in Summerside

Virginia O’Brien will be in the spotlight for another concert in the Trinity United Concert Series on Sunday April 28 at 2:00 P.M. Virginia is a writer, actor and singer and has an impressive resume of performances here on PEI and Ontario. While in Ontario, Virginia wrote and starred in “Patsy Cline: The Sweet Dreams Fantasy Tour” and starred in “A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline” and performed with the Peter Appleyard Jazz Quartet at an evening honoring John Denver. On PEI, she played “Cynthia” in “Menopositive! The Musical” at the Confederation Centre of the Arts, Victoria Playhouse, Harbourfront Theatre as well as various theatres in Nova Scotia including the Neptune Theatre. She has played “Sylvia” in “Stepping Out” and “Amy” in “Laundry and Bourbon”, both in Summerside at the Harbourfront Theatre. She co-founded and recorded a CD with the trio “Westmorland” and toured throughout PEI. Virginia has also been a guest vocalist with her sister Marlane O’Brien. This promises to be a great afternoon of entertainment and although she will be performing other styles of music, if you are a Patsy Cline fan, then this is a must see concert. Doors open at 1:15 with concert starting at 2:00 PM, Sunday April 28. Admission $12.00 at the door.
